Overview

  • Absiella argi, (aka Eubacterium sp. 1-3), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 35.8%. Absiella argi is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Paek2017)

  • This organism has been recovered from the faeces of an old dog. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
