  • Actinomyces mediterranea is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, microaerophilic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. Actinomyces mediterranea is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Fonkou2018; Mailhe2017)



  • This organism has been recovered from the stomach, duodenum and human faeces (CCUG). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
