Overview

  • Adlercreutzia caecimuris, (aka Enterorhabdus caecimuris), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 64.5%. Adlercreutzia caecimuris is probably a rare gut coloniser.

  • This organism has been recovered from caecal suspensions of mice. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
