Overview

  • Adlercreutzia hattorii is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 63.0%. Adlercreutzia hattorii is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Sakamoto2021)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Sakamoto2021). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • Doesn't produce equol and is asaccharolytic.
