Overview

  • Aliiruegeria sabulilitoris, (aka Pseudoruegeria sabulilitoris), is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, aerobic, non-motile, oval-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 64.1%. Aliiruegeria sabulilitoris is likely to be transient and not a long-term gut coloniser. (Park2014)

  • This organism has been recovered from seashore sand, Korea. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. Likely to be transient and not a long-term gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • Mg2+ ions are required for growth. Doesn't grow at 37C, so unlikely gut coloniser.
