Overview

  • Allobaculum fili is a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 50.5%. Allobaculum fili is probably a rare gut coloniser. (vanMuijlwijk2023)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (UC patient). Could be a possible pathogen in humans, but unknown at this stage. A possible gut commensal. Robust growth can have unknown consequences for gut health.
