Overview

  • Anaerobutyricum soehngenii is a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 38.6%. Anaerobutyricum soehngenii is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Shetty2018)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (infant - Shetty2018). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
