  • Anaerococcus mediterraneensis is a Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. Anaerococcus mediterraneensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Diop2017)



  • This organism has been recovered from a woman with bacterial vaginosis. Could be a possible pathogen in humans, but unknown at this stage. A possible gut commensal.
