Overview

  • Anaeromassilibacillus senegalensis is a Gram-negative, spore-forming, anaerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Anaeromassilibacillus senegalensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Guilhot2016)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (child with kwashiorkor). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
