Overview

  • Angelakisella massiliensis is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, anaerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Angelakisella massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Mailhe2017a)

  • This organism has been recovered from the ileum of an elderly woman. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
