Overview

  • Bacillus dakarensis is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, aerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 38.6%. Bacillus dakarensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Senghor2017; Sarr2020)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (CCUG, Sarr2020). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
