Overview

  • Bacillus idriensis is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 41.2%. Bacillus idriensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Ko2006)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces, and clinical sources (sepsis). It is an opportunistic pathogen. A possible gut commensal.
