Overview

  • Blautia pseudococcoides, (aka Blautia coccoides strain YL58), is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, oval-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 43-45%. Blautia pseudococcoides is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Lagkouvardos2016)

  • This organism has been recovered from mice. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
