Overview

  • Caballeronia novacaledonica, (aka Burkholderia novacaledonica), is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. Caballeronia novacaledonica is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Guentas2016)

  • This organism has been recovered from plant roots, New Caledonia. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
