Overview


  • Candidatus Stoquefichus massiliensis, (aka Stoquefichus massiliensis), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 4 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Candidatus Stoquefichus massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Pfleiderer2013; Pfleiderer2018)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
