  • Clostridium amazonense is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 31.6%. Clostridium amazonense is probably a rare gut coloniser. (O'Neal2015)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (CCUG). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
