Overview


  • Clostridium aminobutyricum is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, motile, short rod-shaped bacterium. Clostridium aminobutyricum is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Hardman1960a)



  • This organism has been recovered from swamp mud, USA. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
