strictly anaerobic,
motile,
short rod-shaped bacterium.
Clostridium aminobutyricum is probably a rare gut coloniser.

This organism has been recovered from
swamp mud, USA.
Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic.
A possible gut commensal.
