  • Clostridium cagae is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 36.6%. Clostridium cagae is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Tall2020a)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Tall2020a). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
