Overview

  • Clostridium massiliamazoniense, (aka Clostridium massilioamazoniense), is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 27.6%. Clostridium massiliamazoniense is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Dione2020)

  • This organism has been recovered from the human gut. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
