  • Colidextribacter massiliensis is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, coccus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Colidextribacter massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Ricaboni2016c)



  • This organism has been recovered from human colon and human faeces (obese patient - Ricaboni2016c). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
