Overview

  • Collinsella bouchesdurhonensis is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 3 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 57.9%. Collinsella bouchesdurhonensis is probably a common, although minor, coloniser of the gut. (Bilen2017; Bilen2018a)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (CCUG). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • In 26% of Europeans (unseenbio.com). Minor coloniser.
