Overview


  • Corynebacterium pseudogenitalium is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, non-motile, pleiomorph rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Corynebacterium pseudogenitalium is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Vedel2006; Evangelista1984)



  • This organism has been recovered from the normal flora of the genitourinary tract. Is a rare opportunistic pathogen. A possible gut commensal.
