Overview

  • Cruoricaptor ignavus is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, microaerophilic, non-motile, coccus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 45.6%. Cruoricaptor ignavus is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Yassin2012)

  • This organism has been recovered from a septicaemia patient, Australia. It is an opportunistic pathogen. A possible gut commensal.
