Overview

  • Emergencia timonensis is a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Emergencia timonensis is probably a common, although minor, coloniser of the gut. (Bessis2016a)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Bessis2016a). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • In 44% of Europeans (unseenbio.com). Minor coloniser.
