Overview

  • Enterobacter mori is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, motile, short rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 55.1%. Enterobacter mori is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Zhu2011; Duan2015)

  • This organism has been recovered from diseased mulberry roots. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. Likely to be transient and not a long-term gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • Optimum growth temperature is 28C. In 4% of healthy Europeans (unseenbio.com).
