Overview

  • Enterococcus mediterraneensis is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, anaerobic, non-motile, coccus bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 40.9%. Enterococcus mediterraneensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Takakura2019b)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Bilen2018e). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
