Overview

  • Enterococcus timonensis is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, motile, coccus bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 38.5%. Enterococcus timonensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Fonkou2018a; Fonkou2019)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces and sputum (healthy). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
