Overview

  • Faecalibaculum rodentium is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, short rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 52.3%. Faecalibaculum rodentium is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Cox2017; Chang2015)

  • This organism has been recovered from a femal mouse. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. Likely to be transient and not a long-term gut commensal.
