Overview

  • Franconibacter pulveris, (aka Cronobacter pulveris), is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, motile, coccobacillus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 56.6%. Franconibacter pulveris is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Brady2013; Stephan2014)

  • This organism has been recovered from infant formula. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
