Overview

  • Hugonella massiliensis is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, coccus bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 63.5%. Hugonella massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Elsawi2017)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (obese). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
