Overview

  • Lactiplantibacillus xiangfangensis, (aka Lactobacillus xiangfangensis), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 46.6%. Lactiplantibacillus xiangfangensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Gu2012)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces and traditional Chinese fermented pickle. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
