Overview

  • Limosilactobacillus antri, (aka Lactobacillus antri), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 6 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 44.9%. Limosilactobacillus antri is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Hammes2011fBergey; Roos2005)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces, and human gastric mucosa. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. Likely to be transient and not a long-term gut commensal.
