Overview

  • Listeria marthii is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, motile, short rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. Listeria marthii is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Graves2010)

  • This organism has been recovered from soil and water, United States. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
