  • Massiliimalia timonensis, (aka Massilimalia timonensis), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, microaerophilic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 46.9%. Massiliimalia timonensis is probably a common, although minor, coloniser of the gut. (Afouda2018a; Afouda2019)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Afouda2018a). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
