  • Metakosakonia massiliensis, (aka Enterobacter massiliensis), is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, aerobic, motile, bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 55.1%. Metakosakonia massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Lagier2013)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (CCUG, Lagier2013). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
