  • Murdochiella massiliensis is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, coccus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 48.9%. Murdochiella massiliensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Vicino2016)



  • This organism has been recovered from the faeces of a healthy child from Senegal. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
