Overview

  • Murimonas intestini is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, coccobacillus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. The DNA G+C content is 44.0%. Murimonas intestini is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Klaring2015)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces and mouse gut. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
