Overview

  • Negativicoccus succinicivorans is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, non-motile, coccus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 3 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Negativicoccus succinicivorans is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Marchandin2010)

  • This organism has been recovered from clinical sources (wound, blood - CCUG) and human faeces. Could be a possible pathogen in humans, but unknown at this stage. A possible gut commensal.
