Overview

  • Neglecta timonensis is a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Neglecta timonensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Bessis2016b)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Bessis2016b). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
