Overview

  • Oribacterium parvum is a Gram-variable, non-spore-forming, strictly anaerobic, motile, oval-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 42.0-42.1%. Oribacterium parvum is probably a rare gut coloniser.

  • This organism has been recovered from subgingival plaque. It is an opportunistic pathogen. A possible gut commensal.
