Overview

  • Paludicola psychrotolerans is a Gram-positive, spore-forming, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 35.4%. Paludicola psychrotolerans is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Li2017)

  • This organism has been recovered from wetland soil, Tibet. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • Chitinolytic, growing on chitin as the only carbon source
