Overview

  • Pantoea eucalypti is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 54.5%. Pantoea eucalypti is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Brady2009)

  • This organism has been recovered from eucalyptus dieback. Has also been detected in human faeces (Alkhalil2017). Could be a possible pathogen in humans, but unknown at this stage. A possible gut commensal.
