  • Prevotella marseillensis is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, anaerobic, non-motile, coccobacillus bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 45.8%. Prevotella marseillensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Yimagou2019a)



  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Clostridioides difficile infection). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
