  • Pseudoglutamicibacter albus, (aka Arthrobacter albus), is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, aerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 2 gut microbiome compilation studies or metastudies. Pseudoglutamicibacter albus is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Wauters2000)



  • This organism has been recovered from clinical sources (blood - CCUG) and human faeces. The risk classification (www.baua.de) for this organism is 2, i.e., risk of individual infection, but low risk of spread. Is a rare opportunistic pathogen. A possible gut commensal.
