Overview

  • Pygmaiobacter massiliensis is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. Pygmaiobacter massiliensis is probably a common, although minor, coloniser of the gut. (Bilen2017g)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (Bilen2017g). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.

  • QUIRKS
  • In 30% of Europeans (unseenbio.com). Minor coloniser.
