Overview


  • Sphingobacterium siyangense is a Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, strictly aerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium. The DNA G+C content is 38.5%. Sphingobacterium siyangense is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Lee2013b; Liu2008b)



  • This organism has been recovered from farm soil, China. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
