Overview

  • Streptococcus danieliae is a Gram-positive, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, non-motile, coccobacillus bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. The DNA G+C content is 45.1%. Streptococcus danieliae is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Clavel2013a)

  • This organism has been recovered from mouse caecal contents. Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
