Overview

  • Urmitella timonensis is a Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. It has been detected in at least 1 gut microbiome compilation study or metastudy. Urmitella timonensis is probably a rare gut coloniser. (Pham2017a)

  • This organism has been recovered from human faeces (child with marasmus - Pham2017a). Pathogenicity status unknown, or very unlikely to be pathogenic. A possible gut commensal.
